Julian Keenan Grow is an acupuncturist, herbalist and MSTOM. He is the founder of Sacred Silence Acupuncture, a private acupuncture clinic in Brooklyn and Sacred Silence Medicinals. Julian also performs community acupuncture at Bedstuy Acupuncture and Massage. Julian’s passion for the archaic roots of acupuncture and Chinese medicine originating as a shamanic art allow him a deep understanding of the multileveled, physical, psycho-somatic (emotional), and spiritual aspects of the healing process. One that aims at empowering the individual and that views acupuncture as an initiative catalyst for empowerment and integration of heart, body, mind and soul. He is a New York State licensed acupuncturist and holds a Masters of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City.
His presence during the Rainforest Medicine Council Gathering is a huge for both locals and participants who may be in need of treatment. There will be community and private acupuncture sessions offered on a sliding scale donation base. The unity of both eastern medicines, through the traditions Julian carries and Amazonian medicine through the rainforest plant medicine ceremonies, facilitates and allows participants on the retreat to gain a deeper understanding of the long-standing value of these wellness traditions and how cross-cultural integration can enhance individual, community and planetary renewal.
